Though the free concert series in Coney Island and Wingate Park were cancelled last month due to legal trouble, they have now been saved and are back on! Globe Star Media-N-Entertainment and the City Parks Foundation will now put on the series and they’ve provided the necessary funds, along with some corporate sponsorship, to clear up the debt that the series were in, DNAinfo reports. The Coney Island schedule will be announced in early September, according to Brooklyn borough president Eric Adams’s office, and the Wingate Park schedule is announced now.

The Wingate Park Series begins on August 7 with a gospel show featuring Anthony Brown, Erica and Tina Campbell, Ricky Dillard, Anita Wilson and Canarsie’s Christian Cultural Center Choir.

On August 14, it’s a “Legends of Hip Hop” show with Big Daddy Kane, C+C Music Factory, and more. On August 21, it’s a “Soul of R+B” concert with Kelly Price, MC Lyte, Fred Hammond, and more. And on August 22, it’s Denroy Morgan, Rayvon, Tanto Metro, Devonte and more.

Each show opens at 6 PM with the music starting at 7, and is totally free to the public.
