Conor Oberst & Jenny Lewis playing Battery Park July 4th

As suspected, this year’s free ‘River to River Festival’ concert at Battery Park in NYC on July 4th will be headlined by Conor Oberst and The Mystic Valley Band. Jenny Lewis, who also plays a smaller indoor show at Music Hall of Williamsburg on June 9th, will be opening the NYC show. “This year this event is not ticketed, but space is limited and will be available on a first-come, first-served basis.”

Last year’s show was Sonic Youth and The Feelies. The year before that was New Pornographers and Midlake. Before that was Belle & Sebastian. Before that was Stephen Malkmus and Yo La Tengo…
