Cornelius reissuing 'Point' and playing it on tour this fall

Japanese band Cornelius are reissuing their fantastic 2002 album Point this year, which will be out digitally on July 31 with a vinyl and CD reissue due this fall. The album is their most cohesive record of their career, with songs flowing into one another making for one amazing, beautiful, groovy stereophonic listen. The reissue comes with b-sides and remixes from Kings of Convenience, Matthew Herbert, and Yann Tomita. You can watch videos for the album’s “Point Of View Point” and “Tone Twilight Zone” below.

Cornelius will celebrate the reissue by playing Point in full on tour this year. So far only West Coast dates have been announced, including Los Angeles, San Francisco, Portland, Seattle and Vancouver. If you like their music, the audio/visual spectacle that is their live show is even better. All dates are listed, along with a live video of Point‘s “Drop” from Sonar Festival 2018, below.

The band reissued their compilation Fantasma in 2016, and then released new album Mellow Waves and toured in 2017.
