Cornershop announce North American tour (1st in 8 years)

Cornershop will be touring the U.S. for the first time in eight years this fall, including a November 19 stop at Irving Plaza (tickets). The group released their fifth album, Judy Sucks a Lemon for Breakfast, on these shores back in the spring (out in the UK last summer). It’s a welcome return from Tjinder Singh and crew who haven’t released anything new  — apart from a couple singles — since 2002’s Handcream for a Generation. In the interim the band have apparently been working on a film about the UK independent music industry.

Look out for a new EP from Cornershop around the time of the fall tour. Below, you can check out videos to a few of the new album’s singles, plus all announced North American tour dates…
