With measures trying to stop the spread of the coronavirus really ramping up — and many cities ordering bars, restaurants and clubs closed — tours through spring (and a few beyond) are being postponed/canceled left and right. Head here for more COVID-19 related news and check the Tour Dates category every day for more tour-related news.

CARIBOU

AMANDA SHIRES

The remainder of Amanda Shires’ 2020 tour has been postponed. “I really wish I could continue the tour for y’all,” Amanda writes. “We will be rescheduling and coming to see you as soon as we can. Big love ❤️.”

THE KILLERS

The Killers recently announced a massive tour, including a North American run with support from Johnny Marr, that was set to go on sale this Friday. For now, though, that on sale date is on hold:

THE TALLEST MAN ON EARTH

The Tallest Man on Earth’s North American tour was set to start this weekend the March dates — including stops in Chicago, San Francisco and Los Angeles — have been postponed to August and September. “Your ticket is valid for the new date and if you can’t make it, you can get a refund at the point of purchase,” says Kristian Matsson. “I’m sad but also it seems important to look at the big picture here and try to be smart and focus on being safe. I’ll see you this summer.” The East Coast Dates, lined for May (including NYC’s Webster Hall on 5/14 & 5/15) are still on for now. Updated dates are here.

CURRENT 93

Long-running and prolific “Hallucinatory Patripassianist rock group” Current 93, led by David Tibet, were set to play their first NYC shows in two decades in April, supporting their 2018 album The Light is Leaving Us All. They were previously scheduled to tour in 2011, but those dates were postponed and ultimately never happened. Unfortunately, their 2020 shows have also been postponed due to the coronavirus pandemic and have been rescheduled for next year.

UNITED BLOOD

Richmond hardcore festival United Blood was set to go down on April 3 & 4 with Converge, Cold World, War Hungry, Vein, Mindforce, Never Ending Game, Regulate, Division of Mind, Judiciary, and more, but it’s postponed until further notice:

STEPHEN MALKMUS

“Postponed dates are a bummer but be assured we’re still excited to play for y’all, even if we have to rehearse bi coastal style,” Steve noted in an Instagram video announcing that his March and April dates would be postponed. “We’ll see y’all in June and July and beyond.”

ADAM SANDLER

“Hey you guys,” Adam Sandler writes. “We’ve been looking forward to this upcoming tour for a long time but after a lot of thought we have decided to postpone the March dates. Health officials say that large gatherings should be avoided to help stop or prevent the spread of the coronavirus, so we will reschedule the dates once things are back to normal. Stay safe, wash your hands, don’t make out with Schneider, and we will get through this like champs. Look forward to having a great night with you soon.”

SOCCER MOMMY

Soccer Mommy was set to begin her 2020 tour at the end of March but that has now been postponed:

1349 / PULCHRA MORTE (and DARK LORD DAY FESTIVAL)

Norwegian black metal vets 1349 were set to come to the US for some shows with death/doom supergroup Pulcra Morte and a set at Indiana’s Dark Lord Day Festival, but Dark Lord Day is postponed until further notice and 1349’s other dates are off. They write:

THE ACACIA STRAIN / ROTTING OUT / CREEPING DEATH / CHAMBER / FUMING MOUTH

Well people, we tried to hold off as long as we could, but like everybody else, unfortunately, we're going to have to pull the plug on our upcoming tour. It makes us sad and there's nothing worse than a sad Ringworm. But we know that, we're all going to be going through some strange and tough times, so for the safety of everyone involved we, unfortunately have to cancel. We're sure that you can all understand the scenario. But you best believe as soon as things get back to normal, we'll be back out to see all you ragers. Like a lot of bands about to tour or on tour already having the rugs puled out from them, we have a bunch of cool tour merch thats going to be collecting dust, so very soon we'll have it available to you via HF's online store. And like most touring bands, we're up to our eyeballs in debt, so if you can spare the extra loot head on over and pick up a few things. We might even have some special items as to perhaps inject a bit of humor in these weird and stressful times. Stay tuned for a special post regarding merch deals, that's coming soon. Until then, everybody stay safe, be smart, help out those who might need it we'll all get through this. And for those of us who have pets, make sure to give them all the love and affection you can. Give them all the treats and good foods because they'll help get ya through these stressful times with their unconditional love and support, plus it will help with all the guilt you're going to have when you have to eat them. JUST KIDDING FOLKS, HUMOR, remember. Stay Safe and we'll see ya as soon as we can. We’re sorry folks, kinda out of our hands at this point.
