Courtney Barnett shares new song "Small Talk" ++ win tix to Brooklyn Steel show
Courtney Barnett has shared “Small Talk,” her contribution to the Mom + Pop Music 10th anniversary compilation. The song comes from the same sessions as Tell Me How You Really Feel and, with a walking bassline and electric piano, has a nice loose, warm feel. Watch the video for that below.
The three-disc 10 Years of Mom + Pop comp is out November 23 (Record Store Day Black Friday) and features rarities, covers and “greatest hits” from Barnett, Lucius, Sleigh Bells, Neon Indian, Metric, Sunflower Bean, Andrew Bird, Tokyo Police Club and more.
There’s also a Mom + Pop 10th anniversary show at NYC’s Brooklyn Steel on 10/22 that’s headlined by Courtney, with Sleigh Bells, Neon Indian, Alice Merton, Sunflower Bean, and Tom Morello also on the bill.
