Courtney Love at Warsaw – 6/26/13
Courtney Love brought her tour with Brooklyn goths Starred (who have a fuller band than they did at their earlier shows) to Brooklyn’s Warsaw last night (6/26) for the first of four NYC-area dates on her current tour. She had recently been talking about a new album, but as she’s said in recent interviews, that album isn’t going to come out until around Christmas (when she releases her memoir), and she isn’t playing any of the new material on this tour. We don’t have the exact setlist for the Brooklyn show, but her sets have been pretty similar all tour so far, including a few Hole classics like “Violet,” “Miss World,” and “Asking For It,” and then mostly latter-day Hole and Courtney’s solo material. Pictures from the Warsaw show and a video of her playing “Violet” at that show are in this post.
Courtney’s tour with Starred continues, hitting the NYC-area again tonight (6/27) at Capitol Theatre (tickets), Friday (6/28) at Stone Pony Summerstage (tickets), and Sunday (6/29) at The Paramount (tickets).
