Courtney Marie Andrews (Damien Jurado, Jimmy Eat World) has a video, tour with Fruit Bats

Courtney Marie Andrews has sung on multiple Jimmy Eat World albums, including the great one they just released, and she’s also played as a member of Damien Jurado‘s touring band. So even if you haven’t heard her own material, there’s a good chance you’ve encountered her musicianship before.

Her latest album is this year’s Honest Life (Mama Bird Recording Co.), which is the kind of indie-friendly alt-country that fans of Jason Isbell or Mount Moriah or Margo Price should probably hear. Courtney’s now got a video for “How Quickly Your Heart Mends” off that album, which was directed by Josh Perrault. It premieres right here:

Tonight (10/26), Courtney begins a tour opening for Fruit Bats. She’s not on their NYC show — which happens 11/30 at Bowery Ballroom with Mail the Horse (tickets) — but she does play her own NYC show on November 11 at Rockwood Music Hall (stage 3). Tickets for that show are on sale now. All dates are listed below.

Here are some videos of Courtney playing with Jimmy Eat World and Damien Jurado:
