Craig Finn/John K Samson, Tom of Menzingers, Wild Pink, Chris Farren & more on RAICES benefit covers comp

Last year, a bunch of great bands covered a bunch of great songs for the Don’t Stop Now compilation, which came out on Inauguration Day and benefited the ACLU. Now, a second installment of that comp has come out right before tomorrow’s Midterm Elections, and this time proceeds will benefit RAICES (Refugee & Immigrant Center for Education & Legal Services).

The comp includes The Hold Steady’s Craig Finn and The Weakerthans’ John K Samson covering Gillian Welch‘s “Wrecking Ball” (which they played on tour together last year), The Menzingers co-frontman Tom May covering Regina Spektor‘s “Samson,” Wild Pink covering Bruce Springsteen‘s “When You’re Alone,” Chris Farren covering Joanna Newsom‘s “On A Good Day,” Lydia Loveless covering Sarah McLachlan‘s “Do What You Have To Do,” Anika Pyle (Katie Ellen, ex-Chumped) covering Lucinda Williams‘ “Metal Firecracker,” Augusta Koch (Cayetana, Gladie) covering Sharon Van Etten‘s “Give Out,” awakebutstillinbed covering Julien Baker‘s “Something,” Worriers covering Bleachers‘ “Rollercoaster,” Soul Glo doing a mashup cover of Three 6 Mafia‘s “Slob On My Knob” and Red C‘s “Pressure’s On,” Mimi Gallagher (NONA, Year of Glad) covering The Beastie Boys‘ “I Don’t Know,” Kayleigh Goldsworthy and Kevin Devine covering Counting Crows‘ “Raining In Baltimore,” Tigers Jaw co-frontman Ben Walsh covering Porches‘ “By My Side,” and much more.
