Cults releasing ‘Offering’ this fall (stream the title track), touring

NYC duo Cults are back with their first album in four years, titled Offering, and it’ll be out October 6. The record, their third, is their first for indie label Sinderlyn, following two albums on Columbia. (Says the label’s Mike Sniper [who also runs Captured Tracks], “I contacted the band in 2010 when I first heard “Go Outside” and asked if they were going to make an album. I forgot to tell them I wanted to release said album. I basically started Sinderlyn to try and sign them.”) Of the band’s four-year absence, the band’s Brian Oblivion says, “I feel like we stepped into a tour van when we were 21, and basically didn’t get out of it for the next few years. We wanted to give ourselves some space to have normal lives, and wait until there was something new to say.” You can check out Offering‘s title track below.

Cults will be on tour this fall, including a NYC show at Music Hall of Williamsburg on October 17. Tickets for that show will be on sale soon. All tour dates are listed, along with album art and tracklist, below.
