Culture Shock released their first album in 27 years, touring with World/Inferno

World/Inferno Friendship Society have been mixing punk, klezmer, cabaret and more for two decades now. They’re about to begin a tour with anarcho ska punk vets Culture Shock, another band from Subhumans/Citizen Fish’s Dick Lucas, which is a pretty cool double bill. The tour kicks off in Cambridge tonight (7/6).

After tonight’s show, they’ll end up in NYC on Thursday (7/7) at Bowery Ballroom with support from Simon Trolley’s band Drunken Rampage. Tickets for the NYC show are available. All dates are listed below.

This past June, Culture Shock released Attention Span, their first new album in 27 years, on Alternative Tentacles. It has Dick joined by original members Bill and Jasper, with Alex from Citizen Fish on guitar. (Original guitarist Nige passed away in 1993.) It’s more or less right up the alley of their classic material, which is not a bad thing at all. Listen to that, with a stream of their 1986 debut album Go Wild, below.

All dates are listed, with music from World/Inferno and Culture Shock, below.
