Dave Chappelle brought out Talib Kweli & more at House of Vans (pics)

Dave Chappelle took a break from his 16-show residency at Radio City Music Hall to host a party at Brooklyn’s House of Vans last night (8/10). Chappelle brought along previously-announced guests Stretch Armstrong, D-Nice, and his tour DJ, DJ Trauma.

Surprise guests included Talib Kweli (who will join him at Radio City on Wednesday, August 23 alongside fellow Black Star member Mos Def aka Yasiin Bey), and Chappelle’s Show alum Donnell Rawlings (aka Ashy Larry), who has been at every night of the Radio City residency. Chappelle asked the crowd to hold a moment of silence for “fallen brother” Charlie Murphy, who sadly passed away back in April. View pictures from the event in the gallery above.

Dave Chappelle continues his Radio City run Saturday (8/12), alongside Saturday Night Live‘s Leslie Jones, Michael Che, and Colin Jost. Speaking of, SNL’s new half-hour summer edition of Weekend Update, hosted by Michael Che and Colin Jost, aired last night, and featured appearances by Leslie Jones, Kenan Thompson, Bill Hader as Scaramucci, and more.

Other upcoming Chappelle guests include Lauryn Hill, Chance the Rapper, Childish Gambino, Solange, Mos Def & Talib Kweli, and more, plus tons of surprises are surely in store. Tickets to select shows are still available. Full schedule HERE.
