Dave East & Styles P releasing collab project, playing charity show in NYC

New York rap new-ish-comer Dave East and New York rap vet Styles P (who clearly influenced Dave East) are teaming for a collaborative project, Beloved, which comes out on Friday (10/5) via Def Jam/Mass Appeal and includes a song featuring the members of Styles P’s group The LOX (Jadakiss, Sheek Louch). That’s the artwork above and you can check out the tracklist below.

Dave East and Styles P are also playing a hometown show together on October 17 at Irving Plaza, and all proceeds will benefit Hoodies for the Homeless, “a certified 501(c)(3) non-profit organization and cultural movement that uses music, fashion, and art to bring awareness to the issue of homelessness, and inspire community participation through the collection of hoodies at live music events.” Tickets go on sale today (10/4) at noon.

Dave East also opens a couple of Lauryn Hill’s tour dates this month. Styles P has another NYC show with a live bnad on November 1 at Highline Ballroom (tickets).
