David Duchovny is having a busy year, what with a return of The X Files to FOX in 2016 for a six-episode miniseries that features most of the original’s talent from both in front of and behind the camera. That new miniseries debuts January 24. (Maybe you saw that first episode at NY Comic Con?) Watch the trailer, below.

If you need a Duchovny fix before that, the actor recently released his first music album, Hell or Highwater, which finds him in acoustic-y Americana rock territory. You can watch the video for the album’s title track and stream the whole record via Spotify, if that’s something you want to do, below. (No, he does not cover Bree Sharp.) You can also, if you want, go see David Duchovny play music live in NYC on Tuesday (10/27) at Webster Hall’s Marlin Room. Tickets are still available. He plays DC’s Howard Theatre tonight (10/26).
