Dead & Co Playing in the Sand 2020

Dead & Co announce Playing in the Sand 2020

(Grateful) Dead & Company wrapped up their summer tour (which we caught in NYC) with two nights at Boulder, Colorado’s Folsom Field this past weekend. They played a one-set show on Friday which was delayed due to weather, and then wrapped up on Saturday with two sets and a three-song encore that included “Ripple” and ended with a reprise of “Playing in the Band” which opened set two. You can check out a video and the setlist from Saturday below. Right before those two shows, Bob Weir made a surprise appearance with Jackie Greene at Red Rocks on July 4th.

At the Saturday show, the band also announced the 2020 edition of their annual Mexico concert vacation, Playing In The Sand. It takes place from January 16-19 and it’s in Riviera Cancun this year. Stay tuned for more updates.

In related news, Phil Lesh is doing his Phil-O-Ween shows at the Capitol Theatre again this fall (tickets)
