Dead Milkmen played Irving Plaza with Sage Francis (pics, setlist, video)

Sarcastic punk vets and Philly greats Dead Milkmen wrapped up their 2018 with a BrooklynVegan-presented show at NYC’s Irving Plaza. Joe Jack Talcum, Rodney Anonymous and the rest of the gang gave us pretty much all the hits — “Bitchin’ Camaro,” “Punk Rock Girl,” “The Thing That Only Eats Hippies,” “Beach Party Vietnam,” “Swordfish” and more — and King Missile’s John S. Hall joined the group for KM’s “Take Stuff From Work.” While they didn’t do “You’ll Dance to Anything,” they did cover Heaven 17’s “(We Don’t Need This) Fascist Groove Thang” to end their main set. Tips and earplug sales at the merch table went to the LGBTQ Center in NYC. Check out setlist and video of “Punk Rock Girl” from Irving Plaza below.

Indie rapper Sage Francis opened and clearly had a lot of fans in the audience. Pictures from his set, and the whole night, are in the gallery above.
