Yesterday we mentioned David Byrne’s Luaka Bop label is celebrating 25 years with a few NYC events this October, and that one of those was the previously-announced Atomic Bomb! The Music of William Onyeabor performance happening at Central Park’s Modern Sky Fest (10/4-5) (which also includes Blood Brothers, Liars, Cat Power and more). Now the lineup for this edition of Atomic Bomb! has been announced and it includes hip hop vets Dead Prez, free jazz pioneer Pharoah Sanders, psych duo Peaking Lights (who also remixed Onyeabor), British soul/funk singer Jamie Lidell, DFA-signed Yeasayer/of Montreal collaborator Sinkane, Hot Chip singer Alexis Taylor, South African group The Mahotella Queens, Beastie Boys collaborator Money Mark, and “a FANTASTIC group of horn players and Nigerian percussionists” with still more TBA. Tickets, including single day passes and 2-day passes, are still available.

Peaking Lights, whose new album Cosmic Logic will be out October 7, will also be in NYC two days before that to open for Real Estate at Terminal 5 (tickets).
