Deafheaven sideproject Whirr signs to Tee Pee, first LP streaming now (listen)

Congrats go out to Nick Bassett of Deafheaven, whose side project Whirr (formerly Whirl) has signed to Tee Pee Records. The band will begin recording the new LP in August for a release soon thereafter. Their current LP of shoegazey gorgeousness is called Distressor. Stream that LP in full below and get an e-copy via their bandcamp.

I haven’t seen Whirr live, but I do know that Deafheaven wowed me at SXSW and will definitely do so when they play Cake Shop on June 17th with the also awesome Gholas.
