Death From Above drop the "1979," announce new LP, share "Never Swim Alone," touring

DFA 1979

Canadian duo Death From Above — they’ve dropped the 1979 from their name — have just announced new album Outrage! Is Now, which will be out September 8 via Warner Bros. It’s their first since 2014’s The Physical World (which was their first in 10 years). “We are committed to evolution. This record is the sound of the two us pushing at the walls. We want there to be space, surprises and action!,” says drummer Sebastien Grainger. “We both wanted to see how far we could take our sound as Death From Above. In a way, that has always been our objective,” adds bassist, Jesse F Keeler. You can check out the video for new single “Never Swim Alone,” directed by Grainger, and “Freeze Me,” below.

Death From Above play Riot Fest in Chicago next month, and then launch a headlining tour in October with The Beaches, which includes a show at NYC’s Brooklyn Steel on 10/25. Tickets for that show go on sale Friday, August 18 at 10 AM. All dates are listed below.
