Indonesian rapper Rich Brian released his sophomore LP The Sailor via 88rising back in July, and on Monday (10/7) he kicked off “The Sailor Tour” at NYC’s Terminal 5. He had an interesting special guest on hand, too: Democratic presidential candidate Andrew Yang, who came out to give a short speech. “It feels like there’s a fucking Yang Gang here tonight,” Yang said from the stage, to cheers and chants of his name. When Rich Brian admitted he wouldn’t be able to vote for Yang, saying, “hey man, I’m sorry that I can’t vote for you because I’m not a citizen,” Yang replied, “this man is American in spirit, am I right?” He continued, “and just like Brian shows that there are no limits to what we can do creatively, we’re going to show there’s no limits to what we can do on the biggest leadership stage, am I right New York City?” He shouted out 88rising before leaving the stage. Watch all of that happen below.

Receiving 3% of the vote in a new Quinnipiac University poll (among other qualifying requirements), Yang just qualified for the November presidential debate, where he’ll join fellow Democratic candidates Elizabeth Warren, Joe Biden, Corey Booker, Pete Buttigieg, Kamala Harris, Bernie Sanders, and Tom Steyer.
