Sooo nuts! Last time I saw Demolition Hammer was ’91 opening for Nuclear Assault at Marty & Lenny’s in New Rochelle! – @RobinMaertz
Demolition Hammer was so insane that I ended up losing half of my toenail. Does it hurt? Barely…” – @KimMetalGuitars
Waited for 24 years for this and it did not disappoint. What an amazing show. #demolitionhammer – @WalterBarrio
Classic NYC thrash outfit Demolition Hammer, who released three albums in the early 90s before breaking up, reformed earlier this year for Maryland Deathfest and just played two sold-out shows at Saint Vitus on June 17 and 18. BV was at night one of their triumphant return to the NYC stage, which featured support from Demized and Malignancy. We’ve got pictures of that show in this post.
Demolition Hammer tore up Saint Vitus with sets heavy on material from their classic albums Tortured Existence and Epidemic of Violence. Known for their brutal and intense live shows back in their prime, they didn’t disappoint upon their return, whipping the crowd into a frenzy for the duration of their quick-and-to-the-point set.
Check out more pictures from the show, along with the setlist (which was the same both nights) below.
