Derek Ted releasing EP before tour with Field Medic (stream a track)
LA emo-folk-pop singer Derek Ted recently announced a tour with “his longtime best friend, roommate and musical co-conspirator” Field Medic, and he’ll release a new cassette EP right before that tour starts, Hourglass Sand. It’s due on June 1 via Derek Ted and Field Medic’s DIY label, $RZ&$ (pre-order).
If you like Field Medic (who released a very solid LP on Run For Cover last year) but haven’t heard Derek Ted’s music yet, it’s probably worth changing that. (And if you haven’t heard either: recommended if you like Bright Eyes, Kevin Devine, Julien Baker, etc.) We’re premiering “Where I’ll Stay” off the new EP and you can listen/watch the video for that song below.
