As mentioned, Twin Peaks: The Return is just a few days away, with the first two episodes of the series airing Sunday, May 21 at 9 PM on Showtime, with the episodes 2 & 4 available immediately afterward on-demand. (Episodes 3 & 4 will then both air May 28.) With episodes now appearing on cable guides, there are also descriptions of them too. We noted that the premiere had “The stars turn and time presents itself” as it’s description but it turns out every episode has its own, uniquely enigmatic Twin Peaks-ian signifier, none of which give any plot away. Still, you may want to avert your eyes, as here are the loglines (pun intended!) for the first eight episodes:

Part 1 (May 21): My log has a message for you.
Part 2 (May 21): The stars turn and a time presents itself.
Part 3 (May 28): Call for help.
Part 4 (May 28): …brings back some memories.
Part 5 (June 4): Case files.
Part 6 (June 11): Don’t die.
Part 7 (June 18): There’s a body all right.
Part 8 (June 25): Gotta light?

Meanwhile, Showtime also shared some new cast images today via twitter, with pics of FBI Deputy Director Gordon Cole (David Lynch), Sarah Palmer (Grace Zabriskie), and funky fashion icon Dr. Lawrence Jacoby (Russ Tamblyn), as you can see above.

While we wait for Sunday to roll around, check out more of Showtime’s promotional documentary feature, Twin Peaks: The Phenomenon, which has interviews with castmembers as well as makers of of other television shows that Twin Peaks influenced.
