Devo cancel tour, RXP Halloween show (which is now free)

Due to an injury in the band, Devo has cancelled their appearance this Saturday night at the Metro PCS Masquerade and their entire tour. The concert will go on! MetroPCS & 101.9 RXP will present a free show with Neon Trees, The Drums and other special guests this Saturday night at The Hammerstein Ballroom! Refunds are available at the point of purchase. According to another press release, it is a “due to a serious hand injury sustained by guitarist Bob Mothersbaugh. A glass shard sliced Mothersbaugh’s right thumb to the bone, severing a tendon. He underwent immediate emergency surgery and is expected to make a full recovery after proper care and therapy”. Devo were also scheduled to play Moogfest and Fun Fun Fun Fest…. and both Crocodiles and Dum Dum Girls both also just cancelled their appearances at Fun Fun Fun Fest! Luckily Cornershop wasn’t scheduled to play the Austin Festival too.
