North American Waste Black Flag

Dez Cadena & Ron Reyes playing Black Flag songs at shows with CJ Ramone

Dez Cadena, who’s sadly battling cancer and is in the FLAG lineup, and Ron Reyes, who sang on the first Black Flag album since the ’80s but then left the band, are teaming up for shows under the name North American Waste. They’ll be playing Black Flag songs, plus other material from various projects they’ve had over the years (which may include the Misfits or Redd Kross). Opening the shows will be former Ramones member CJ Ramone (who recorded a cover of Black Flag’s “Rise Above” featuring Dez not long ago), and he’s playing Ramones songs and more.

The first show announced happens in Brooklyn on December 8 at Lucky 13 Saloon (644 Sackett St). Detroit’s Fuzzgun, plus locals The Last Stand, The Ice Cold Killers and Point Blank will open the show. Ticket link coming soon.

Punk News also points out that North American Waste and CJ Ramone have a Jersey show planned. Stay tuned.
