Dhani Harrison announces debut solo album, shares “All About Waiting”

Dhani Harrison

Dhani Harrison, George’s son, will release his debut solo album IN///PARALLEL on October 6 via BMG (preorder). That’s the artwork above. Harrison has released music with his band thenewno2 and as one third of Fistful of Mercy (with Ben Harper and Joseph Arthur), and he’s played on his father’s albums and at high-profile tributes to his father, but this is the first time he’ll be releasing music under his own name. The first single taken from the album, “All About Waiting,” is out now. The song begins with pulsating, Drive-esque synthesizers, before exploding into a grand, epic chorus. Harrison’s film score work in recent years is a clear influence. Hear the track and watch the psychedelic album teaser below, along with the album’s tracklist.

Dhani Harrison will be playing day three (7/30) of NYC’s Panorama festival this weekend (tickets).

Speaking of children of Beatles members, Sean Ono Lennon is on Lana Del Rey‘s just-released album Lust For Life, singing with her on the track “Tomorrow Never Came.”
