Diamond Head touring, playing Saint Vitus (Raven too)
Last year, heavy metal legends Diamond Head released their new self-titled album. The only member on the album who’s also on their timeless 1980 debut, Lightning to the Nations, is lead guitarist Brian Tatler, but the record really isn’t half bad. Diamond Head have some appearances at some pretty cool festivals coming up, like Chicago Open Air and Psycho Las Vegas, and they since added several tour dates surrounding those festivals.
Diamond Head will return to NYC on September 11 at Saint Vitus with more bands TBA (tickets). All dates are listed below.
Diamond Head will cross paths with fellow British metal legends Raven at Germany’s Bang Your Head festival, Spain’s Leyendas Del Rock festival, and the UK’s NWOBHM Xmas Rocka. Raven also have a Saint Vitus show just three days after Diamond Head play there, September 14 (tickets). That’s part of a tour with Dead By Wednesday, and Rebel Scum are on that bill too. Diamond Head’s “Am I Evil?” was famously covered by Metallica, who just so happen to be on tour now and playing Nassau Coliseum tonight (5/17). Check out pics of their recent MetLife Stadium show and watch them play Colbert.
