DIANA released ‘Familiar Touch,’ played Rough Trade (pics, LP stream); Mozart’s Sister prep ‘Field of Love’
Toronto trio DIANA, whose members include touring players for Austra and Destroyer, released their second album, Familiar Touch in November. The group draw from a variety of ’80s influences — lush chart pop as well as more ethereal sounds like Cocteau Twins — you can stream the whole record below.
The band are currently on a short North American tour and played NYC’s Rough Trade on Friday (12/2). The tour was originally to be with Montreal’s Mozart’s Sister who unfortunately didn’t make it, but pictures from DIANA’s set are in the gallery above and remaining tour dates (all Canadian) are listed below.
Meanwhile, Mozart’s Sister (aka Caila Thompson-Hannant, formerly of Think About Life and Shapes & Sizes) will release new album Field of Love on February 17 via Arbutus. You can check out the video for first single “Angel” below.
