Digable Planets continue reunion, playing ATL FunkFest, NYC SummerStage, more

Last year, the great ’90s-era jazz-rap group Digable Planets reunited, including hometown shows at Prospect Park and Webster Hall. They’re still reunited, and have more tour dates coming up this year. One is the Atlanta stop of the FunkFest Tour. They play the Friday (May 19), which also has Erykah Badu.

Digable Planets will return to their hometown for a free SummerStage show on June 21 in Coffey Park in Red Hook. That goes from 6 to 9 PM, and features a 6pm pre-show workshop with Scratch Academy. More info here.

Check out the full 2017 SummerStage lineup HERE. All Digable Planets dates are listed below.

UPDATE: Digable Planets also play a free House of Vans Brooklyn show on May 18 with Joey Purp.

In addition to the Digable Planets reunion, Ladybug Mecca has a new group with Prince Paul, BROOKZILL!, and Butterfly remains active with Shabazz Palaces. Shabazz’s only upcoming date is Seattle’s Upstream Music Fest in May.
