Dillinger Escape Plan announce new album 'Dissociation'

Dillinger Escape Plan

Mathcore heavyweights The Dillinger Escape Plan have finally announced their new album. It’s called Dissociation and it hits on October 14 via their label Party Smasher. They’ve shared a teaser which involves some classical music and some noisy electronics to whet our appetite, and promised the new single will drop on Sunday (7/31).

Dillinger Escape Plan remain an unmissable live band, and they’ve got a tour coming up, which includes stops at GWAR-B-Q and in NYC at Rough Trade on August 8. Maybe there will be some new material at that show, which is a chance to catch them in a more intimate than usual setting. That show is sold out.

Check out the teaser for Dissociation below, and stay tuned for the single.

UPDATE: DEP have shared the new song. It’s called “Limerent Death” and it was played on Daniel P. Carter’s BBC 1/Sirius XM show. It’s an absolute rager, and a pretty coherent summation of what Dillinger Escape Plan do well. Starting with a slowed-down, doomy passage, the thing pinballs between tempos, riffs, and generally disparate strands of insanity. You can give it a listen below, as it starts at the 2:00:30 mark in the stream of that radio show.
