Dilly Dally rocked Baby’s w/ LVL UP & Turf Durt (pics)

Dilly Dally are on tour now supporting their very good debut album Sore (out on Partisan), and they hit NYC for their first of two shows here over the weekend. It was on Baby’s All Right on Saturday (11/14), the same place they played an awesome set at BV-CMJ just a few weeks ago. It was sold out and the place was packed, and Dilly Dally once again played a killer set. Probably thanks to the combination of this being a headlining show, the album being out for a bit now, and it being later (as in, the crowd was probably drunker), the place went way crazier for them than at CMJ. There was a mosh pit going for a lot of their set, and it was one of the only times I’ve seen someone stage dive at Baby’s. We got their grunged-up take on Drake’s “Know Yourself” again (which is always fun), and basically all the songs you’d want to hear from their album.
Dilly Dally play NYC again tonight (11/16) at Mercury Lounge with Wives. Tickets for that show are still available.
Before Dilly Dally was LVL UP, who opened their set with the heaviest song I’ve heard from them yet and also took a request during the show, and Turf Durt, who I missed but our photographer didn’t. More pictures of all three bands below…
