Dion Lunadon (APTBS) releases “1976” video, opening for Ex-Cult ++ other tour dates

Dion Lunadon @ Webster Hall, 2015 (more by Ebru Yildiz)

A Place to Bury Strangers bassist Dion Lunadon‘s song “1976” is the b-side to his recent “Com/Broke” single on Infinity Cat. The year in question was a turbulent, post-Vietnam War time and Lunadon rattles off a few touchstones, including Patty Hearst, The Concorde, the heatwave, and more. 1976 was also a pivotal year for punk rock, and while he doesn’t mention that in the lyrics, it’s clearly an inspiration for this scorcher of a track. The video, directed by Ryan Ohm, is a rapid fire collage that keeps pace with song, making for truly 1976-in-a-blender. This very rad video premieres here and you can watch it below.

Dion has a few live dates scheduled as well. He’ll play NYC’s Mercury Lounge on Sunday, May 29 opening for Ex-Cult (tickets). He’ll also be doing some Midwest shows in June and all dates are listed below.
