Dipset planning new LP for Thanksgiving, playing the Apollo on Black Friday

Dipset — aka Cam’ron, Juelz Santana, Jim Jones, and Freekey Zekeycontinue to be reunited, and it looks like they may actually have a new album coming this year. Jim Jones said on stage at Atlanta’s A3C Festival earlier this month that it’s called Diplomatic Ties and coming out on Thanksgiving. Jim Jones also recently posted a teaser of the tracklist. Check that out and watch the video of his announcement at A3C below.

The Thanksgiving release date would pair well with the Harlem group’s plan to play a hometown one-off at the historic Apollo Theatre on Black Friday (11/23). The Apollo Theater’s Executive Producer Kamilah Forbes said in a statement, “We are committed to celebrating the legacy of Black music and its effect on popular culture. Dipset is a perfect example of a group that started here in Harlem and made an impact on music that lasted decades.” Tickets are on sale now.

Dipset also play DC this Friday (10/26). Those appear to be their only two upcoming shows.
