Django Django announce new LP 'Marble Skies,' share "Tic Tac Toe"

Django Django are back with their third album, Marble Skies, which will be out January 26 via Ribbon Music. After making their second album, Born Under Saturn, in an fancy recording studio, the Scottish band returned to the process which which they made their debut — recording on their own, cut-and-paste style in their London HQ. The first single “Tic Tac Toe” is a return to Django Django’s roots too — a twangy, hyper rave-up cut from the same cloth as “WOR” that sounds like they had fun making.

The video for “Tic Tac Toe” is a lot of fun too, made by John Maclean, brother of DD drummer/producer David Maclean (and who used to be in The Beta Band and is now an acclaimed filmmaker [maybe you saw Slow West?]). It’s a fast-forward through a day at the beachside resort of Hastings that turns lightly sinister once singer Vincent Neff goes on a haunted house ride. You can watch that, and check out Marble Skies’ artwork and tracklist, below.
