DMC DJ Battles coming to Santos Party House

A-Trak, who DJ’d Brooklyn Bowl last night, was only 15 years old (!) when he won the DMC World DJ Championship, an unheard of feat at the time. The Disco Mix Club is currently on the hunt for DMC’s 2010 US Champion and will begin at a pair of DMC events at Santos Party House. May 15th is billed as the “DMC NYC + Battle for US SUPREMACY” and will find the local turntablist(s) to move on the US Finals, which will take place on August 7th. Tickets for the DMC NYC and the US Finals are both on sale. The US winner will move on the to DMC World Championships; details on that are forthcoming. The 2010 DMC Battle for US Supremacy is a fierce head to head DJ battle pairing 8 DJs up against each other – the winner will represent the USA in the 2010 DMC World DJ Finals in London England this Fall.

The 2010 DMC NYC Regional Qualifier is DMC’s classic showcase style battle and will determine which DJ will represent NYC in the 2010 DMC USA Finals on August 7, 2010 here at Santos Party House. No Filming or Video Cameras permitted. Judges and more Special Performances to be announced!

The DMC DJ Battles are the longest running, most prestigious DJ Battles in the world. In DMC battles, legends are made. Being a DMC World or National Champion continues to be one of the most sought after titles for turntablists world wide!
