Dog Party opening for Green Day
Green Day recently announced a tour in support of their upcoming album Revolution Radio, and since we last spoke, very cool support was added to several of those dates. Sacramento garage pop duo Dog Party, who recently released the ripping Til You’re Mine LP on Asian Man Records, will open most of the US dates.
That includes Green Day’s NJ show at Starland Ballroom on September 28, but not their NYC show at Webster Hall (no opener announced for that one at the moment). Tickets for the whole tour are currently on Idiot Nation presale, and the general on-sale begins Friday (9/9) at 9 AM local time. On October 8 (the day of Green Day’s NYC show), Dog Party play an Uncool Records Halloween party in Oakland with SWMRS (Billie Joe Armstrong’s son Joey’s band), Colleen Green, The Garden, and more. Speaking of Halloween and Green Day openers, ska punks The Interrupters (who have a collaborative relationship with Green Day’s old pal Tim Armstrong) will open their European dates, and they also play a show on Halloween night in NYC. Updated Green Day dates are listed below too.
