Drugs of Faith

Washington, D.C.’s Drugs of Faith (featuring Rich Johnson of Agoraphobic Nosebleed) are one of my favorite grind(ish) bands in the game right now, and one of the most underrated. We’ve got a new song — “Insanity,” from the band’s upcoming 1-sided LP Architectural Failures — and its accompanying video streaming over at Invisible Oranges. From our writeup:

“Judging strictly by the quality of Drugs of Faith’s music, they should have a much larger following than they do. Their amalgam of grind, noise rock, and hardcore is both extremely caustic and fun to listen to, which is a rare combination….”Insanity” is pretty much more of the same approach that Drugs of Faith took on Corroded. That’s a good thing — the gravelly rhythm section pushes Johnson’s exuberantly nasty guitar work forward at a fast trot for most of the song, before exploding into a frenetic blast at a crucial moment.”

Stream the “Insanity” vid and check out its cover art below. Architectural Failures will come out via Malokul in early/mid-November. No tour dates have been announced yet, but some are evidently in the works; given Drugs of Faith’s tendency to play mostly East Coast dates, I’m hoping for an NYC appearance.
