DTCV released 'Hilarious Heaven' and share new video, touring after SXSW (dates)

DTCV‘s new album, Hilarious Heaven, came out a couple weeks ago via Xemu/Burger and is a double LP loaded with post-VU indie rock. (Also a lot of vintage movie samples.) It’s also got cover art designed by Guided by Voices’ Robert Pollard (DTCV’s Jim Greer was in GBV in the ’90s). You can stream the whole shebang at Rdio. The band just made a video for one of the album’s heavier cuts, “Alpha Waves in a Gelatinous Conductor,” and its washed out 8mm look goes well with the song’s Sabbath-y riffs. It makes its premiere in this post and you can watch it below.

DTCV will be on tour next month. While there are no NYC dates scheduled currently, the band will be in Austin for SXSW so if you’re there, keep an eye out. UPDATE: More tour dates than we originally posted, including Brooklyn’s Grand Victory on March 25.

All dates are listed, along with the video, below.
