Ducktails shows cancelled after Matt Mondanile accusations emerge

Following accusations of sexual misconduct against former Real Estate member Matt Mondanile, upcoming tour dates of his current band, Ducktails, have been cancelled. As we previously pointed out, the band’s Manila show was cancelled by booking company Sleeping Boy Collective, and they were removed from the recent Phuzz Festival in North Carolina. Now more shows in Ducktail’s North American tour, which was scheduled to begin in November, have been cancelled, including 11/25 at Music Hall of Williamsburg. See a full list of cancelled shows below.

PhilaMOCA cancelled Ducktails’ 11/21 show with a statement:

After reading today’s detailed article in Spin, we have cancelled the Ducktails show scheduled at PhilaMOCA. Tickets will be refunded in full to all customers.

We have decided to donate the total gross ($) from this particular show to RAINN, the nation’s largest anti-sexual assault organization. If you have been a victim of sexual assault, call 800.656.HOPE (4673) to be connected with a trained staff member from a sexual assault service provider in your area.

Woodsist, a label Ducktails had worked with in the past to release 2011’s III: Arcade Dynamics (as well as records when he was in Real Estate), also released a statement breaking ties with Ducktails and Matt Mondanile:
