Eagles of Death Metal ‘s Jesse Hughes and Dave Catching played a surprise show in Paris on Monday (11/13) at a memorial service marking the two-year anniversary of the horrific terrorist attacks at the EODM show at the Bataclan that claimed the lives of 89 people, including the band’s merch manager, Nick Alexander. Their performance included “I Love You All The Time” (with some interpolated French lyrics from Jesse Hughes), and a cover of Duran Duran’s “Save A Prayer,” a song the band played shortly before the attacks began.

Duran Duran posted a brief statement on Facebook, showing solidarity with the band two years on. The statement reads, “We continue to stand with Jesse & Eagles of Death Metal.” The band also shared their 2015 performance of “Save A Prayer” with Eagles of Death Metal, which you can revisit below.

You can watch video showing the memorial service, the band’s performance, and Jesse Hughes shaking hands with French president Emmanuel Macron, below via Euronews.

Eagles of Death Metal will be touring with Josh Homme’s main band, Queens of the Stone Age, next year.
