Eagulls

Leeds postpunk quintet Eagulls will release their self-titled debut album on March 4. Prior to that, the band will have out new double a-side single “Tough Luck / Opaque” on December 16. “Tough Luck” shows a little more nuance, arrangement-wise, than the full-bore rippers the band have released so far, and you can stream it below. Both sides will feature on their debut — album art and tracklist are below.

Eagulls, who were one of the most talked about bands at CMJ this year, will be coming over for press for the album next month and are making time for a couple NYC shows while here. They’ll play Mercury Lounge on January 29 and Rough Trade on January 31. Tickets for both those shows go on sale Friday (12/13) at noon, and there’s an AmEx presale for the Merc show starting Wednesday (12/11) at noon. Those are the only dates for now, though a tour once the album comes out seems likely.

Speaking of CMJ, NYC taper just posted the full set from Eagulls’ Glasslands show during the fest. You can download the whole thing at NYC Taper and stream one track from that below.
