Earth, Wind & Fire and Chic touring together this summer

Two legends of ’70s R&B, soul and disco — Earth Wind & Fire and Chic featuring Nile Rodgers — are teaming for what they’re calling the ‘2054’ tour. Dates include Newark, NJ’s Prudential Center on August 4 and NYC’s Madison Square Garden on August 7. Tickets for both those shows go on sale Saturday, April 29 at 10 AM with various presales for the MSG show beginning April 25 at 10 AM.

Earth Wind & Fire will also play the big Classic East and Classic West festivals this summer in NYC and L.A. as well. Meanwhile, Nile Rodgers will speak as part of Pitchfork’s “In Sight Out” podcast series on May 16 at The Sanctuary at Murmrr Ballroom (aka Grand Army Plaza) and tickets are on sale.
