Guitar shredders Earthless and skateboard shredders the Shrine will be heading back out to the East Coast in August. Following dates in Canada (including Sled Island this weekend for Earthless) and Europe, both bands will hook up to hit Washington, D.C., Philadelphia, and two New York dates. The first will be at Mercury Lounge on August 22. Tickets ofr that show go on sale Friday, June 27 at noon. The second is at Saint Vitus on August 23 (tickets are available now).

The two outfits both have 2014 releases under their belts. Earthless will drop In a Dutch Haze, a live 2009 SXSW jam with the J. Mascis-led Heavy Blanket, on July 8 via Outer Battery Records and Roadburn Records (preorder). (Heavy Blanket, who were too loud for Union Pool last year, will be on the Boston stop of Sleep’s upcoming tour.)

The garage-y punk of The Shrine reached new heights on Bless Off, released back in March. The Los Angelenos will also be preforming at the loaded Sonishpere in Knebworth, UK alongside the Prodigy, Metallica, Iron Maiden, and more on July 4 through July 6.
