Echo & The Bunnymen played Town Hall (pics, setlist, video)

Echo & The Bunnymen returned to NYC this week for a show on Wednesday (11/21) at Town Hall. as part of their tour supporting new record The Stars, The Oceans & The Moon which offers up new versions of their classics. With that, the Town Hall show was a hit-filled set, kicking off with “Going Up” that is often a show opener for them, going back to the early days. We also got “Rescue,” “Never Stop,” “Bedbugs and Ballyhoo,” “Bring on the Dancing Horses,” “Over the Wal,” “Seven Seas,” “The Cutter,” “The Killing Moon,” “Lips Like Sugar” and more. As he usually does, Ian McCulloch peppered songs with diversions into other people’s lyrics. On “Villiers Terrace,” he threw in snippets of The Doors and Bowie, and on “Nothing Lasts Forever” he tipped his hat to New York with a little Lou Reed.

Setlist and a few videos from Town Hall are below and pictures from the night are in the gallery above.
