Ela Minus touring with Austra, then Shigeto, made a video for "A.R.P."
Ela Minus (aka Gabriela Jimeno) toured the US with Austra earlier this year, and she’s on tour with them overseas as we speak. When she returns to our shores, she sets out on a North American run with Shigeto, including the Brooklyn show on November 6 at Music Hall of Williamsburg (tickets). All dates are listed below.
Earlier this year, Ela Minus released the Adapt. EP (order yours), and she has now made a new video for the song “A.R.P.” using Critter & Guitari’s video synthesizer ETC. She filmed the video in one take “performing live” with the ETC. Gabriela tells us:
I love the ETC and since the first time I played with it I wanted to make a video specifically for this song. Recently I’ve been wanting to incorporate the improvisational aspect of my live shows to everything I do, so I had the idea to just create an aesthetically interesting set, that included an old TV, choose a couple of stems out of the song to run them through the ETC and just film that.

Speaking of Austra, they were supposed to return to NYC and play one of the Sound on Sound makeup shows in Austin, but both have been cancelled.
