It was recently announced that NYC EDM festival Electric Zoo would be returning this year with drug-sniffing dogs, patdowns, plainclothes security officers, and a required anti-drug PSA after last year’s festival resulted in two drug-related deaths (and one reported case of sexual assault and 31 arrests) which cancelled day 3.
Now the initial lineup has been announced and amongst all the EDM heavy hitters is The xx’s Jamie xx. Other than that, it’s the typical E Zoo type stuff you probably want to steer clear of like David Guetta, Zedd, Armin Van Buuren, Laidback Luke, Kaskade, Benny Benassi, Datsik, and more, plus many more TBA. They’ve been known to add cool stuff as the fest approaches, so stay tuned.
