Elton John tells off security guards at Australian show: "Leave her alone you turds"

Elton John is currently in Australia on his Farewell Yellow Brick Road tour, and stopped his December 1 concert at HBF Park in Perth to object, profanely, to show security’s treatment of a female fan who was being ejected from the show. “Hey, you two security guards with the girl — fuck off! Bring her back here immediately,” he said to cheers from the audience. “Come on you cunts. Morons, you both are, morons. You don’t treat girls like that. Leave her alone you turds.” Not long after, he said, “I apologise for the ‘c-word’, I just hate people being assaulted, especially women by security guards. I have a pet hate of security guards anyway.” You can watch video of that below.

The circumstances of the woman’s ejection are unclear, but the venue released a statement (via Billboard): “Under the circumstances, the security team acted appropriately and we (VenuesWest and security) worked together with Elton’s team to ensure that the event was safe and successful for the artist and the patrons.”

The Farewell Yellow Brick Road tour swings back through NYC in April for seven more shows in the area..
