Elvis Costello announces East Coast solo tour (dates)

While Elvis Costello‘s forthcoming collaborative album with The Roots, Wise Up Ghost (out 9/17), is sparking thoughts of an equally collaborative tour, he’ll be hitting the road solo for a string of Northeast dates this fall. This will be his first East Coast solo tour in almost a decade, and anyone who’s ever seen him like this knows it’s a treat, with his between song banter nearly as entertaining (and funny) as his catalogue of songs.

While there are no NYC shows proper, the man born Declan MacManus will have a number of dates in the NY area, including two at Port Chester’s Capitol Theatre on November 11 & 12. Tickets for those shows go on sale Friday (8/9) at noon. He’s also playing the Englewood, NJ’s Bergen PAC on November 4 (tix on sale 8/9 at 10 AM) and New Haven, CT’s Shubert PAC on November 8 (tix on sale 8/16). All dates are listed below.
