Elvis Costello cancelled upcoming tour dates at the Empire Theatre inside the Wynn Resort and Casino in Las Vegas, Nevada (six dates total) which he announced in a post on Facebook. “Due to unforeseen circumstances,” the post reads, “the performances of Elvis Costello & The Imposters scheduled for February 28 and March 2, 3, 7, 9 and 10 at the Encore Theatre inside the Wynn Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas, Nevada have been cancelled. Ticket purchasers may receive a full refund from their point of purchase.” The rest of Elvis’s upcoming tour dates with The Imposters, scheduled for June and July in the UK, are still on.

Although the post doesn’t elaborate on reasons beyond “unforseen circumstances,” the cancellations come following a report from the Wall Street Journal on allegations of sexual misconduct against the CEO of Wynn Resort and Casino, Steve Wynn. The report describes an alleged “decades-long pattern of sexual misconduct by Mr. Wynn,” including instances where he is accused of “pressuring employees to perform sex acts.” Wynn previously spent time running Las Vegas’s Golden Nugget Casino. In the deposition of an early-1990s lawsuit, an executive at the time, Dennis Gomes, also said he “routinely received complaints from various department heads regarding Wynn’s chronic sexual harassment of female employees.” Wynn has denied all allegations, saying, “the idea that I ever assaulted any woman is preposterous.”
