As discussed, Dr. Dog are releasing a live album and going on a tour which includes an eight-night run in NYC. Since we last spoke, openers for those shows were announced. Their schedule now looks like this:

01-09 Music Hall of Williamsburg Brooklyn NY w/ Twain
01-10 Music Hall of Williamsburg Brooklyn NY w/ The Districts
01-11 Music Hall of Williamsburg Brooklyn NY w/ Elvis Perkins
01-12 Music Hall of Williamsburg Brooklyn NY w/ mewithoutYou
01-14 Bowery Ballroom New York NY w/ Roadkill Ghost Choir
01-15 Bowery Ballroom New York NY w/ mewithoutYou
01-16 Bowery Ballroom New York NY w/ Yellerkin
01-17 Bowery Ballroom New York NY w/ Field Mouse

Tickets for all shows except 1/10 and 1/17 are still available.

Elvis Perkins is set to release a new album, I Aubade, on February 24 via his own MIR Records. He recently put out the album’s first single, “Hogus Pogus,” which falls on his softer folky side. You can stream that, with the album tracklist and artwork, below. The show with Dr. Dog is his only announced date at the moment but he plans to tour again in the spring.

mewithoutYou are also planning a new album for 2015. Most details on that are still TBA, but they recently put out a trailer for it called “Thy foes profanely rage” (album title?) which has a short clip of music and ends with “LP6 / MMXV.” Stay tuned for more on that. After their two NYC shows with Dr. Dog, they open for them on several of their spring dates as well. All of those dates are listed below.

Though the show with Field Mouse is sold out, you can catch them in NYC when their tour with The Jazz June hits Saint Vitus on 12/27 (tickets).

The show with The Districts is sold out too, but there’s two more chances to catch them in NYC as well. They play the 12/29 show during Deer Tick’s Brooklyn Bowl residency (tickets), and they’ve got a headlining tour kicking off at Bowery Ballroom on February 10 with Pine Barons (tickets). All of their dates are listed below too. They’ve also got a new album, A Flourish and a Spoil, due out February 10 via Fat Possum. You can stream a track from that below as well.
